There are many cases of school dropout in areas around Karangura Sub County, Kabarole district. Key issues associated with drop out include stone excavation and early marriage among children between the ages of 13-16 years.
With so much at stake, Karangura Eco camp with support from well wishers sponsors children back to school in the neighboring schools of Nyarukamba, and mount Gessi primary schools through implementation of activities such as school outreaches, , Local leaders training (advocacy), training in income generating activities, procurement and supply of scholastic materials, formation and strengthening of drama groups, training in making reusable sanitary pads among other activities.
